Steve O’Donnell has over three decades of global high technology experience. In addition to serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GreenBytes, O’Donnell currently serves as Chairman of the Board at Preventia Limited and Lanix, and Chairman of the Advisory Board at Rackwise, Inc. Previously, O’Donnell was CEO at MEEZA in Qatar, a large data center and managed services business, Managing Director at Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG) EMEA, a leading analyst firm, Global Head of Data Centre Operations at British Telecom, and member of the Advisory Board at Fusion-io.
Recognized as an expert in green IT and sustainability, O’Donnell has been the recipient of six industry awards including the British Computer Society Best Use of Green Technology. He acts as a spokesperson for the IEEE on Cloud and IT Security. O’Donnell is the author of “What Every CIO Wants – a Guide for High Technology Salespeople” and is credited as the initiator of the Green Grid’s Data Center Maturity Model.
Robert Petrocelli founded GreenBytes in 2007 and serves as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to establishing GreenBytes, Petrocelli founded Heartlab, Inc. in 1994, a medical information technology company that was sold to Agfa in 2005.
Petrocelli was awarded a patent on archival technology utilized for the long-term storage of patient data, including cardiology images, demographics and reports. The technology was later adopted as the accepted industry standard for the storage and exchange of this type of medical information. Petrocelli was recently awarded patents for the method of minimizing the amount of network bandwidth needed to copy data between deduplicated data storage systems, the method of the allocation of data on physical media by a file system that eliminates duplicate data, and for the method of the allocation of data on physical media by a file system that optimizes power consumption.
His expertise includes advanced technological knowledge in the medical device field, digital imaging/algorithms, digital storage, and high-performance networks. Petrocelli received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2001 and has made the Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America list four times. Petrocelli attended Brown University for his Ph.D studies and holds an MS in Computer Science and a BS in Physics from the University of Rhode Island.
Richard Petrocelli has been with GreenBytes since June 2007 and serves as the company’s Founder, Director and Chief Legal Counsel. Prior to joining GreenBytes, Petrocelli was President and Chief Legal Counsel for Heartlab, Inc., from 2000 to 2006.
Prior to Heartlab, he was a member and partner in the law firm of Visconti & Petrocelli from 1982 to 1994. In 1994 he founded Petrocelli Law Offices and served as Managing Partner until 2000. He has served as arbitrator with the Rhode Island Courts, American Arbitration Association and Rhode Island Arbitration Association. He is a member of the Rhode Island and Connecticut Bar.
Mr. Petrocelli has authored numerous legal publications and served as adjunct professor of law at Southern New England School of law. He received a JD from Suffolk University School of Law, and a BA in history from the University of Rhode Island.
Chris Maher joined GreenBytes in February of 2013 where he serves as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he is responsible for the global operations of GreenBytes, including the 24x7x365 customer service center, manufacturing team, and global logistics team. Chris brings more than 10 years of progressive experience building and leading professional and customer services teams for software startups in the virtualization industry.
Prior to joining GreenBytes, Chris was Principal Sales Engineer at Flexera Software, a provider of application usage management solutions, where he drove over $30M in revenue. At Neocleus, a client hypervisor provider (acquired by Intel, September, 2010), he built the Support and Services organization from the ground up, served as a Practice Manager in the Virtualization Global Practice at Microsoft, and was the Engagement Director at Softricity, an application virtualization pioneer (acquired by Microsoft, July 2006).
Chris holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a MS in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University.
Kevin joined GreenBytes in March 2013 and serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this position, Brown is responsible for the company’s financial management strategies and operations.
With more than 20 years of senior financial leadership experience in technology, application service provider, storage management, global audit, tax, advisory, and food and beverage organizations, Brown has held critical roles in acquisitions, raising debt and equity financing, vendor contract negotiations, and operational and financial performance.
Recently, Brown was the CFO of Filterfresh, where he helped the leadership through the sale of the company. Prior to Filterfresh, Brown held positions at Surebridge, an Application Service Provider (acquired by Navisite), Storability, a storage management software provider, Arthur Anderson LLP, and KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP.
Kevin is a CPA and holds a BSA in Accounting from Babson College.
Brett Johnson joined GreenBytes in October 2012 and serves as Senior Vice President, Global Sales. In this position, Brett is responsible for GreenBytes’ global sales execution, including the recruitment and leadership of a world-class sales organization, technology alliances and channel partner community.
Brett most recently served as the VP Sales and Marketing Americas for Centrix Software, joining as the company’s first US employee and staffing a very strong go-to-market team. Previously, he spent three years as VP Global Sales for DynamicOps, joining among the first handful of employees, where he led the company to a market leadership position and successful financing round before taking on a VP Channels & Sales Alliances role to drive growth with key channel and alliance partners (company acquired by VMware).
Before DynamicOps, Brett spent four years with PlateSpin, a recognized pioneer in the virtualization marketplace, where he was also among the company’s earliest employees. Brett developed key channel, distribution and customer relationships for PlateSpin and managed the enterprise sales organization prior to the company’s acquisition by Novell in 2008. Prior to PlateSpin, he spent four years at Gomez, where his responsibilities included all global business development activities including channel and OEM sales (company acquired by Compuware).
Brett brings more than twenty years of sales and marketing leadership experience to GreenBytes. He has a BA in Economics and an MBA in Marketing and IT Management from the University of California, Irvine.
Michael Robinson joined GreenBytes in July 2009 and serves as Vice President, Marketing. In this position, Robinson is responsible for the company’s global marketing and communications strategies and initiatives.
Michael brings more than fifteen years of marketing and communications experience to GreenBytes. Prior to joining GreenBytes, Michael worked at some of the leading information technology communications and media companies in Boston and Los Angeles including The Catchpole Corporation, 1105 Media, fama PR, and SVM Public Relations & Marketing Communications. Michael has worked on accounts including AOL, Microsoft TV, Microsoft Windows Mobile, Palm, Nortel, Hewlett-Packard, Nokia, Akamai, Signiant, Dialogic and Luminus Devices.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Boston College.
John Poduska joined GreenBytes in November 2011 and serves as Vice President, Software Engineering. In this position, Poduska is responsible for managing the software engineering teams for the company’s HA-3000 and GB-X Series products.
Poduska joined GreenBytes from Mindstorm Technologies, a software consulting company, where he served as partner and CTO. At Mindstorm Technologies, Poduska worked on projects including storage management software, medical visualization, smartphone applications, drug ingredient tracking, and credit card processing. Prior to Mindstorm, Poduska served as director of development at SwiftTouch, manager/architect of AVS OpenViz Software, and founder of Matador Software and Jaguar Software, both sold to AVS (Advanced Visual Systems, Inc.). As a graphics hardware developer at Stellar/Stardent, Poduska was awarded patents for graphics architecture for 3D rendering and a dithering algorithm.
John Poduska holds a BSEE from Rice University.
Recognized as an industry expert in desktop virtualization technology, Michael led over a dozen new product initiatives that grew Citrix Systems from $128M in 1997 to over $1.5B by 2008. As a consultant, Michael helped craft entrepreneurial product strategies in cloud computing. In 2010, Michael joined Dell’s newly created Best Value Solutions team to define and execute a Next Generation End User Computing strategy for a complete end to end offering designed to simplify and accelerate the adoption of mobile and alternative virtual desktop computing. In 2012, this strategic framework resulted in one of the largest desktop virtualization mergers via the acquisition of Wyse, the leading provider of Cloud Client Computing solutions to transform and diversify Dell’s end user computing solutions into a new multi-billion dollar revenue stream. The resulting team effort created an industry-leading combination of business relationships for an integrated software, datacenter infrastructure, desktops, mobility, cloud services solution set.
Michael’s experience spans more than 30 years of computer science transformation. Leading business initiatives via leadership roles in strategy, marketing and product management, Michael is a highly skilled executive with a unique combination of business and contemporary technology skills. His macro perspective on transformational shifts in how we compute have resulted in generating new revenue streams and improving profitability for competitive global NASDAQ and Fortune level computer hardware and software companies.
Michael is an industry expert in mobile, cloud and desktop virtualization product innovation. He has been driving new product initiatives in this space since 1995. Adept in crafting innovative new products and strategies, Michael has a reputation for building and mentoring professional teams in creating end to end offerings that accelerate customer time to value. Michael has also consulted for early stage entrepreneurial companies and worked for NCR for 15 years.
Jur Faber joined GreenBytes in October 2012 and serves as Executive Vice President, EMEA. Overseeing the company’s interests throughout EMEA, Faber brings more then twenty years of channel, distribution and business experience to his position.
Prior to joining GreenBytes, Jur Faber was the CEO and Founder of Consolidate-IT, a pioneering distributor that introduced innovative technology to Europe including EqualLogic, GreenBytes, WhipTail, Blade Network Technologies, Zerto and Arista.
With a background in Biology from the University of Groningen, the Green IT solutions of GreenBytes are a natural fit for Faber with an ongoing focus on environmental consciousness.
Monica van Lunteren joined GreenBytes in October 2012 and serves as the Vice President of Sales and Operations, EMEA. Monica brings a decade of management experience in the technology industry.
Prior to joining GreenBytes, Monica held the role of Vice President at Consolidate IT, a value-add distributor representing new cutting-edge technologies throughout Europe. She has worked on accounts including the BBC, Novartis, the Pensions Trust, Sage and others. Monica was actively involved in business development including the establishment of an extensive reseller network throughout the UK and South East Europe.
Prior to that, Monica had her own marketing company (Mo-tivation), where she helped introduce new technologies like Glooq, an Israeli company that promotes embedded banners.
Monica holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from a Dutch business school at Hilversum.

Tom joined Battery in 1989 and is responsible for managing all investment and operational aspects of the firm. His primary focus has been on the communications and e-commerce sectors, with investments including @stake Inc. (acquired by Symantec), Advanced Computer Communications (acquired by Newbridge Networks), Amber Wave Systems (acquired by U.S. Robotics), AnswerSoft (acquired by Davox), CipherTrust (acquired by Secure Computing), FaxSav Inc. (NASDAQ: FAXX), FORE Systems (NASDAQ: FORE), Primary Rate Inc. (acquired by Xircom), RADNET Ltd. (acquired by Siemens) and Witness Systems (NASDAQ: WITS).
Tom is actively involved in the venture industry and has served as a board member of the NVCA. In 2005, he was invited to join the board of the Georgia Research Alliance (GRA), which brings together business, university and government leaders in a public/private partnership to build the state’s technology economy. Tom began his venture capital career in 1986 when he joined Abacus Ventures, a partnership focused on communications investments. He has been in the technology business since 1980, holding positions with IBM’s mainframe and minicomputer business. Tom received a BA in Business from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Colin works on Generation’s $700mn Climate Solutions Fund which invests in growth stage climate solutions businesses globally. Prior to co-founding Generation in 2004, Colin was a Director at Sustainable Asset Management where he worked on the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes and Sustainable Asset Management’s sustainable investment funds. He has also worked for Arthur D. Little as an energy consultant, and Total as a natural gas analyst. Colin holds a BSc in International Management and Modern Languages from the University of Bath and has completed the Corporate Finance Programme at London Business School. Colin is on the Boards of GreenBytes, TerraLUX, RecycleBank, Infinite Power Solutions, Business for Social Responsibility and Forest Trends. He speaks fluent French and lives in London with his young family.
Americo W. Petrocelli currently serves as Director and acting Chief Financial Officer at GreenBytes. Prior to joining GreenBytes, Americo served as Chairman & CFO, Heartlab, Inc., Commissioner of Higher Education for the State of Rhode Island, VP Business & Finance, University of Rhode Island, CEO, Yardney Electric Corporation, Chief of Development Engineering, General Dynamics – Electric Boat Division, Consultant to international companies, India, Director, Connector Technology Corporation, and Director, Noresco. Americo holds a B.S. and M.S. from Providence College and a PhD (Physical Chemistry) from the University of R.I., as well as an honorary Doctorate from R.I. College and the Consatantian University in Rome.
Mr. Woo is the founder and Managing Director of Neuralytix, Inc. He is a recognized, celebrated, provocative market visionary and thought leader who frequently speaks at industry and customer events worldwide and is often quoted by leading business and technology press.
Mr. Woo has dedicated his entire career to the data and information industry and uses this diverse set of skills, knowledge and experience to provide in-depth market insight and advice on key aspects of the IT marketplace to both vendors and buyers of technology. He advises Wall Street clients and other interested stakeholders and has served on a number of advisory councils of leading storage manufacturers advising them on strategies and direction relating to the industry. Prior to founding Neuralytix, Mr. Woo was the Program Vice President of IDC’s Worldwide Storage Systems Research and also oversaw the global research on Big Data.
Mike Miracle is the SVP of Marketing and Strategy of BlackRidge Technology, a provider of cyber security solutions. Prior to BlackRidge, Mike was the CMO and SVP for SevOne, where he built and led global marketing operations and strategy, that drove 100% growth leading to the acquisition by Bain Capital.
He has consulted and advised for many early stage companies including: Applimation (Informatica), BladeLogic, FilesX (IBM) and EVault (Seagate), and served on the Board of Directors for Connected Corporation (Iron Mountain) and Precise Software (VERITAS). Previously, Mike was the VP of Corporate Development and Strategy for VERITAS Software during its high growth years, and he held senior technical management and software development positions at HP, Novell, Unix Systems Labs and AT&T Bell Labs. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, and a MS degree from Stanford University.
Edward L. Haletky is the President, CEO, and Principle Consultant of AstroArch Consulting, Inc., a provider of consulting, development, and training services for all aspects of virtualization, internet and security. He is the CEO and an analyst for The Virtualization Practice, an active blogger, writer, and host of Virtualization Security Podcasts, as well as a guru and moderator for the VMware Communities Forums, providing answers to security and configuration questions.
Edward is the author of VMware vSphere™ and Virtual Infrastructure Security: Securing the Virtual Environment, and VMware ESX and ESXi in the Enterprise: Planning Deployment of Virtualization Servers, 2nd Edition. He holds an Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering degree from Purdue University.
Randall Chalfant is an Advisor of IABPro, which provides world-class consulting for professionally managed industry advisory boards. Chalfant’s domain expertise includes: storage, mainframes, open system servers, operating systems, applications and networking solutions, and business development. Recently, he was the VP of Strategy at Nexsan, where he formed key strategic storage alliances that lead to significant market share and company growth. He is an industry speaker, and has authored a multitude of technical white papers and financial calculators.
Prior to Nexsan, he was the CTO at Sun Microsystems and StorageTek, and held various marketing, engineering development and executive management positions at Network Systems, Data Switch, Amdahl, and Trilogy Systems. Chalfant is a visionary and lecturer, and resides in the suburbs of Denver with his wife of 38 years.
Bruce Kornfeld is an experienced technology industry executive who advises small and large companies on strategies to grow revenue and market awareness. With 20+ years in the technology industry, he has held product management, outbound marketing, engineering and leadership positions, and played critical roles from creating new lines of businesses to taking a startup through an initial public offering (IPO).
Recently, Bruce was Vice President of Marketing and Alliances at Compellent where he helped the company grow revenue from $9M to over $150M, which led to their IPO and eventual sale to Dell for $940M. Prior to Compellent, Bruce held numerous marketing leadership roles at Dell where he was instrumental in building Dell’s first storage division in the late 1990s and helped grow it to over $1B. Before joining Dell, he held operations, engineering and marketing positions at NCR. Bruce holds BS and Masters degrees in engineering and an MBA, all from Cornell University.
